Hatsune Miku, officially code-named CV01, is a Vocaloid software voicebank developed by CryptonFuture Media and its official anthropomorphic mascot character, a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise twin tails. Miku's personification has been marketed as a virtual idol, and has performed at live virtual concerts onstage. The voice is modeled from the Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita. Since you cant make a fake person, real concerts use glass panes and screen projectors, along with motion Software using MikuMikuDance (MMD) with a black background.

The concerts had sold well, but why are fans mad?

In the past years when there were expos Miku was a hologram, it makes her seem more real, like she’s actually standing there from all seating spots, even from the side.

This year the fans were disappointed to see that she is only on a normal TV screen. People started to wonder why this year its different, some thought its because of Choachella, but after she didn’t appear at Choachella, fans started to say, Chrunchyroll made her on a TV, because the company is greedy and wants to save money that way. Chrunchyroll still hasn’t released a statement about these accusations.

Chrunchyroll did remove a sentence at ticket sales. Before the sentence read: “Because they may interfere with the concert’s performance, Please DO NOT bring your own LED lights, flashlights, or any battery glow sticks other than this tour official glow sticks, or glow sticks from previous official Miku concerts.” The sentence has since been removed.

Will this mean no more Miku hologram for other concerts? This is the second concert this year from Chrunchyroll. The first was the world tour “Wish,” from Ado, where they messed up ticket sales (over 200€.). Chrunchyroll will still most likely power more concerts in the coming years. Tickets to the Hatsune Miku Expo cost between 88€ and 800€. The shop even includes merchandise from 5€ (keychains) to 65€ (hoodies). Chrunchyroll has a habit of selling bad things for much money, and goods are most likely cheaply made. Chrunchyroll is a company that lets you watch Animes, you can download it for free, but only a few Animes, and not all episodes, only the first 2. If you want to continue to watch, you must pay for a subscription.
